In Supersonic Space Rock in its own field. This band wears its influences well, but also creates its own cosmos within the genre to somewhat create a sub genre whatever that would be called. Faflung has now become Americas legendary cult Space Rock band with 6 LPs under the belt, and stellar voyages near and afar. The name of this Italian band from Rome, Black Land, may suggest a connection with harsh goat-worshippers or some depressive black metal act. Not really. The band is vehicle of much sinful music, of course, but as you can guess by the above "Extreme Heavy Psych" cover art , these guys are devoted to chemistry more than to the black religion! The main influences for Black Land are obvious and recognized in their tunes: especially Pentagram, Saint Vitus, Black Sabbath, Cathedral, Electric Wizard, but also Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Orange Goblin, Monster Magnet, Spiritual Beggars, Nebula, not to forget bands such as Motorhead and Type ONegative and the heavy psych hard rock of the 70s, krautrock and space rock. Undoubtely the bands guys are also inspired by the gloomy atmospheres created by the Italian proto-doom and doom bands like Paul Chain, Abysmal Grief, etc. even if the atmospheres in Black Lands tunes are less oppressive and softened by the passion for psychedelics and stoner rock. Hapsburg Braganza is the moniker used for the eclectic output of Newcastle's Phil Begg. After two years living in Belgium where he regularly played improvised concerts around the country, he has been active in Newcastle since 2006, operating at the more serene end of the Newcastle underground spectrum. Much of his output to date has been long-form and abstract, including several releases and numerous live performances of electroacoustic composition/sound collage, ambient drone, field recordings and lower-case electronics. 'Recurring Dreams' takes a dramatically different form, covering a lot of ground over 4 sides of solo guitar lamentations, quietly heavy atmospheres and psychedelic excursions. Although the album marks new territory for him, it nonetheless echoes his earlier themes of spaciousness, melancholia and mental imagery/memory associations. "The album is a blend of both studio recorded tracks and nocturnal living-room recordings; of rehearsed pieces, refined/semi improvisations and a few fully improvised moments. Since much of the album materialised in a dimly lit room while not far away from sleep, I played without any strong predefined ideas about what I was trying to create. I was surprised and delighted by the vivid involuntary memories of the past and specific visual/dream associations this music brought to mind. I'm far less interested in what music 'says' than I am in what it 'does', so this kind of psychoactive memory association is a holy grail for me. I don't see these pieces as having any fixed meaning that can translate universally, but perhaps my biggest aim is to create a music that is melancholy yet emotionally ambiguous, creating atmospheres that are susceptible to this type of response." Hapsburg Braganza sets up a simple electric guitar and devices then lets loose sepia-toned memory gongs in your tiny skull. The band prefers to call their music Cosmic Pirate Rock, not necessarily a self-explanatory description. Let's say you combine the Hawkwind-style spacerock with 70's psychedelic groove a la Gong, sprinkled with a solid dose of rock steriods for muscle. Then you're on the trail of the Seid sound. The pirate part of the phrase refers to the joy of sailing all kinds of musical waters, plundering what you like and forging it into your own. After about one hundred concerts in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands between 2002 and 2006, the band is ready for conquering new territories with their new album. This is not to be considered a "reunion," there are new songs, a new member, and new visions. This new release is a kind of 10 years birthday present for Destructure. Destructure started as a distro at the very end of the 90's and our first release was HIPPIES OF TODAY 10? which came out in december 2001. Hippies of Today was a grind/punk band from Caen & Le Mans (France) which was very active in the early 2000's. They released a s/t 10? and a split 7? with The Index as well as a CD collecting all these songs. They played lots of shows in France, a european tour in 2002 and then disbanded due to lack of time and distance between members. Few months ago, at the end of 2011, HIPPIES OF TODAY members were asked to record a new album for some kind of label 10 years celebrations. After a couple of rehearsal week ends, the trio recorded 10 songs by itself in december 2011. This has been then mixed and mastered by Guillaume Doussaud from SWAN SOUND STUDIO. These new songs are the same kind of music that the band used to do (most of the songs were written years ago but never recorded, the band rearranged them in 2011), its a mix of punk, hardcore and grind with melodies and metal hints. The new recording is a bit different, more mature of course but also very raw, dark, raging and angry. The sound, music and lyrics have evolved just like the world around us. For this release we asked our good friend Stephane from AINU Records to collaborate with his label, it was a logical choice since he has made a lot for the band and also for the label during the past 10 years |

The lovestory between the two french punk scenes from Caen and Montaigu has started more than ten years ago. Its a lovestory between two labels : Destructure & Aïnu and between everything around them. Most of the bands from the Caen diy hardcore punk scene of these past 10 years have played in Montaigu. All these moments shared at shows created friendships between people behind these bands and labels. When a new band called Machete comes to life on the ashes of former active bands from the Montaigu area, it is logical that Destructure get involved in the release of their debut records. Machete features people from Craft, Michel Platinium among others, they play a very personal brand of heavy and noisy metallic hardcore. On this limited (to 300 copies) dark piece of vinyl, they deliver 7 songs recorded live by master of sound Doum. It is full of downtuned and depressing massive guitar riffs, the voice is clean but still rasping and the sound is fat and let no room for weakness. |

Legendary Welsh anti-fascist oi! band formed in Cardiff in 1981, the Oppressed is the UK punk band who most openly expressed opposition to the racist and right-wing influenced ideals spreading in the skinhead scene in the early 80s. Personally promoting the SHARP ('Skinheads Against Racial Prejudices') ideals to British Skinheads through lyrics and interviews, both on-stage and in real life, their singer and leader Roddy Moreno lived his life as a mission, happening to write some of the finest working class punk rock anthems ever along the way. "Dead And Buried" collects the first two, self-financed singles by the Oppressed, "Victims" and "Never Say Die", both originally released in 1983, along with their 1983 "Oi! The Tape" complete session. This is OI! music at its best. |

Future Tastes is the first album by Invisible Sports. Invisible Sports is the solo project of Volcano The Bear co-founder Aaron Moore. Invisible Sports was a bedroom game Moore used to play with a former girlfriend where he would perform a variety of naked sports poses.
