First come first serve! BUREAU B celebrates 2012s Record Store Day with a series of exclusive 12" vinyl releases. Faust are one of the main protagonists of krautrock. When their first LP was released in 1971, their collage of Dadaism, avant-garde rock and free improvisation radically divided opinion. Whilst some lauded Faust as the best thing that ever happened to rock, others dismissed them as shameless dilettantes. After several split-ups, reunions and line-up changes, Faust today comprises the founder members Jean-Herv Peron and Zappi DIermeier plus James Johnston (Gallon Drunk) and the British artist Geraldine Swayne. Their track on our exclusive 12-inch is a previously unreleased outtake from their most recent recording session. Like A Stuntman play eccentric, weird, harmonic, glitchy electro kraut pop like you have never heard before. Their first release on Bureau B ("Original Bedouin Culture", 2009) was highly acclaimed by the critics and classified as "krautrock for the post Radiohead generation" or "Germanys Animal Collective". The band had raised the bar to dizzying heights on this album - with the following "YOY" (2011) they have risen even higher. Especially for this vinyl edition, the Hamburg and Frankfurt based quartet recorded two brand new songs which prove their uniqueness once again.

0370028 LP AMSLP 50 8016158305043 AMS	DEDALUS - DEDALUS One of the most experimental bands of the Italian Prog scene, Dedalus were founded at the beginning of the '70s by Michele Bonansone (keyboards, cello, vocals) and Marco Di Castri (guitar, saxophone) in Pinerolo, near Turin. Their first eponymous LP consists of instrumental jazz-rock compositions, influenced by artists like Nucleus, Miles Davis, Soft Machine, Stockhausen and many other musical innovators of the time. "Dedalus" was originally released in 1973, and in the same year the band took part at the Avantgarde and New Trends Festival in Naples, being pointed as the real revelation of the event. The album, enclosed in one of the most peculiar Italian Prog artworks by Cesare Monti, already contains some of the avantgarde hints which would be fully developed in the following "Materiale per tre esecutori e nastro magnetico". For many years, The Misty Hush Revival name was only a rumour whispered in collector's circles, with only a handful copies known of the original album around today. Like The Bachs or The Index, this is one of those hard to describe albums which seem to live in a world of their own. Despite the late '72 release date, the music here sounds more late 60s than early 70s and the whole album has a cool, lost-in-time atmosphere. The group were in fact a club band from New Jersey but surprisingly all the tracks are originals, no cover versions, and they range from fragile, dreamy pop-psych numbers to raw garage, fuzzed-out jams and teen-beat sounds. Like Patrick Lundborg says on Acid Archives: "A cool, atmospheric trip for fans of the tri-state late '60s club sound". Locked in a vault for 41 years, the tapes from producer Jim Sorensens "Turn On Your Lovelight" show on 3/14/70 are being released for the very first time. Nimbus brilliant set is the first to be released from the 1970 concert. Produced by Shattered Music as hand numbered, limited edition gate fold LPs on smoky gray vinyl. The story of Nimbus is shrouded in mystery. Aside from getting 2 of the 3 names of the band members when they agreed to play on Jims recording, and the few photos Jim took during the set, little is known about this short lived group. The attached note from Jim Sorensen recalls his experience working with the band, which split up shortly after performing on the "Turn On Your Lovelight" bill. Early reviews of Nimbus: Live in Livermore have likened it to live Dead, early Cream. Performer/broadcaster/artist B.P. Chicago-based duo Chuck Hollins and David Starr only made this one album, which originally appeared in 1970 on the Ovation label. All we know about them is what the original ads for the album said: "David Starr learned piano when he was three, began composing when he was four. At twenty-one he was playing flute with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Chuck Hollins picked up a guitar one day and just started playing.... by the time he left Northwestern with his Creative Writing degree he was turning his poetry into music." Existance is quite a young band, formed in 2008 in a small town called Clermont, situated approximately 60 kilometres north of Paris. Although its not a big place by any stretch of the imagination, Clermont is home to quite a few local metal bands (such as Arès, Irminsul, Gencode, Orkaan and Dead N Crazy). The group's founder, guitarist and vocalist Julian Izard, is the son of Didier Izard, who played for French metal legends H-Bomb.
