The band uses traditional rock instruments and magickal theories to reach elevated levels of psychedelic trance and new states of consciousness. This 7" marks their debut debut and features two esoteric compositions that are drawn from the bands improv-laden, live rituals. Side A is a rhythmic and moody piece which gradually builds intensity only to crescendo and gently drift into a blur of sound and mysterious mumblings from Aleister Crowley. Originally from the States, but now living in Wales, Pamela's 'Woolgathering' is taken from her fine salute to our season in question, 'Courting Autumn', released in 2007. With bleating sheep and the gentle trundle of a spinning wheel, 'Woolgathering' is a blustery walk through swirling leaves and bonfire smoke, draped delicately in autumnal melancholy. Finger picked guitar and violin sections as warm and comforting as a glowing hearth provide a full and emotive backing to Pamela's charming vocals. With the right blend between rosy cheeked leaf kicking and the foreboding, drawing in of autumn nights, 'Woolgathering' is a perfect ode to the misty moistly season. The double A side's 'Blackthorn Tree' is a track from Ireland's wonderful and slightly mystique band of musicians, The Magickal Folk of the Faraway Tree (Shane Cullinane, David Colohan, Gavin Prior, Caroline Coffee, Sean Og and more). Taken from their now long out of print cdr gem, 'The Mildew Leaf' released through Deserted Village in 2003, 'The Blackthorn Tree' is a folk flavoured foray through the hedgerows of love and romance, similar in analogy to Burns' 'Red, Red Rose'. With lead vocals from David Colohan (Agitated Radio Pilot) as heart warming and strong as a fine malt (or Sloe liquor) and with accompanying vocal harmonies, banjo and flute foraging their way throughout the track, 'The Blackthorn Tree' is an endearing song that will wrap you up against the frost of the encroaching winter. It was a long search to locate the rights for this album since it was not with EMI anymore. With the help of musicians and producers from The Third Eye and Freedoms Children we've found the original producer. He told us that the brother/sister band John & Philipa Cooper went shortly after the album was made to Britain and there it lost track. This amazing album has the same class as Billy Nichols, Duncan Browne and Blossom Toes. Many other musicians from S.A. where helping out. Every track is just great. Well composed underground songs, folk rock, effects, pop tunes just the right mixture for an album full of ideas and mastercraftly played. Perhaps one of the rarest albums from S.A. This album would have been a great success if it was produced in UK. It just has the right feel with the combination of great songs with an 60s art-vibe. Bands like Witchcraft, Burning Saviours, Graveyard, and Witch all pulled this off and raised the bar considerably from the first notes of their first albums, and now you can add Green and Wood to that illustrious list. The goal was to surf on the space disco trend, using sci-fi themes and inter galatic grooves. But like many MASSIERA signature production these were too much out there to hit massively. Ignored when it was released, the only HERMAN'S ROCKET album soon became a sought after masterpiece of space disco. Still connected with the cosmos, MASSIERA brings the concept back the year after with VENUS GANG on the album GALACTICSOUL (aka SYNTHETIC SOUL). The group is comprised ofMassiera, Torelli, Patrick Barbero and singers MICKY & JOYCE. For HERMAN'S ROCKET and VENUS GANG, the tracks were composed with mixes of delirious voices and moogs. This album, is a perfect example of the early 70s German progressive Krautrock scene and should be part of every serious 70s progressive rock collection. This selftitled album was the only one that Icelandic progressive rock trio Odmenn ever released. It was made at a critical point in Odmenn's history when the band members had agreed to take a sabbatical year while the guitarist studied law at the University of Iceland. They got together for the last time a year after the album was released and split up directly after having played only one gig. Odmenn was formed in early 1966 by the Johannsson brothers playing the most popular music clubs in Reykjavik. Most of Odmenns music could be categorised as protest songs or social studies touching topics like anti-war protest and fights against pollution, greed and deception balanced with more positive stances like hope for a better world with love and eternal brotherhood. "Psychedelic guitar pieces had become their trademark". Odmenn recorded this double album in Copenhagen with a release late December 1970. After their third album (Red Queen to Gryphon Three) and the subsequent tour as a supporting act for Yes, their instrumentation became more conventional and the use of non-standard instruments was reduced. Treason was the last album by progressive folk band, Gryphon, originally released in 1977 by Harvest. On Saturday 6th June 2009 Gryphon performed a reunion concert at The Queen Elizabeth Hall, London. The four original members opened the evening with a selection of songs and instrumentals from the first album Gryphon. They were then joined by Jon Davie (the final bass player who appeared on Treason) for the rest of the evening. The original pressing came out on Polydor. Perhaps THIRD EYE is the best band from S.A. with the most innovative and complex music. Most music lovers would vote Freedoms Children as the biggest influence in S.A,. rock but THIRD EYE will share at least half of that cake. In cooperation with Dawn Selby (hammond organ) and her brother Ron (guitar) this project came to life again. They where based in Durban, a coastal city several hundred miles away from the recording and musical hub of Johannesburg and started playing in 1968. The first album AWAKENING came out in 1969 when the female organ player Dawn Selby was only 14 years old. Just imagine her age when you listen to the amazing organ and piano tracks. AWAKENING was released in 1969 followed by 2 more albums SEARCHING and BROTHER just one year later in 1970. What a musical output in such a short time. The band and composer must have sit on a volcano where they just waited to outburst their music onto the rock universe. AWAKENING is the most complex album of the 3 with great brass arrangements, piano, hammond organ, fuzz-guitar and vocals full of soul. Musically going in the direction of bands such as Electric Flag, The Flock's Dinosaur Swamps, Chicago, The Nice and Al Cooper. The 2 man guitar and bass team, known for its abrasive sonic attacks, take their layers of manipulated dissonance and situate them in subtle ambient landscapes. The tracks range from "36 beautiful songs" which plays like a condensed and intensified version of Fripp and Enos "An Index of Metals" to the somber "saving grace on an 8 hour connection" which finds the group delving into more traditional melodic structures.

Originally released as a vinyl album by Nasoni, the album finally will come in a CD version. And a DVD version. At the same time... One disc, two ways to use it to retrieve 3SA's pretty intense brew of stoner rock, raunchy wah-wah propelled biker rock, sleazy hard rock and psychedelics. The video features the exclusively recorded soundtrack of the Dutch cult movie 'Horizonica': heavy soundscapes, accentuated by some flamenco-blend accoustic guitars, organ and spaced-out effects, appropriately accompanied by a road-movie styled video. The live video is a bonus, and so is the Dolby 5.1 version of the album on DVD.

When he began to receive requests from his customers for images of girls in what would today be considered S & M and bondage situations, he complied. Making 16mm films out of his own home featuring Bettie and other glamour girls of the era, Klaw created an oeuvre which today's fetish material continues to reference. Much of this work was burned when Klaw was accused of purveying pornography, and the films collected here are rarities not previously available. Surreal and strangely innocent, the films and photos are obviously staged in someone's basement, while the fetishwear--not widely attainable in those days--was mostly homemade, lending the work an immediacy and tender intimacy not to be found in similar, more contemporary, films. Their relationship flourished in the '70s when Bunny's eccentric ideas often pointed the group in unexpected directions, but Bunny eventually grew distant and his appearances at the El Ralpho Studios declined. Then, after a lapse of several years, a video tape arrived in the mail. Looking like the product of a discarded Korean surveillance camera, The Residents quickly recognized the unidentified video as the "work" of the long lost Bunny. At first amused, the group soon became disturbed by Bunny's obvious cry for help, attempting to gain support finding his missing "brother" Harvey. Hoping that a project focused on their lost friend might stimulate his reappearance, and subsequent psychiatric care, The Residents reenacted Bunny's plight in a series of internet videos, resulting in this DVD.
