From the liner notes...The mercurial ascent of Bob Dylans nasally-delivered electric-poetry from coffeehouse background noise to the voice of a Now generation grabbed a lot of folks by surprise at first. Seemed like there was easy money to be made by monotoning paragraph-long verses over single chord strumming.
