The first of two albums by the legendary US '60s garage band, originally released on the Cameo Label. This edition of '96 Tears' (the title tracks of course is one of the most legendary garage singles ever!) is reissued on 180 gram vinyl and remastered from the original tapes at 45 rpm for maximum fidelity. Including the original artwork, now this title is available on LP in America for the first time since its first LP release, over four decades ago. This group of Mexican-American teenagers from Saginaw, Michigan will forever be recognized as one of the ultimate US '60s garage bands! The name was taken from a Japanese horror film. The sound, an insistent, three chord beat, was powered by that unmistakable Vox organ tone. And then, of course, there was the sunglasses-shod Question Mark himself, who claims to have been born on Mars and lived among the dinosaurs in a past life. Great story, great music!
