One of the leading exponents of ragtime guitar, Davis was born blind but taught himself to play guitar. He eked out a living busking on the streets, and after the Second World War started to record more prolifically. Stefan Grossman championed him and was responsible for bringing him to Europe for festivals and concerts in the late 60s and early 70s. Digitally remastered and slip-cased with extensive new notes.
