Newly Re-mastered edition of our classic earlier release first issued over 10 years ago from the original master tapes.
Although it is often the bands second album Lady Lake that hogs the limelight, "In Spite of Harrys Toenail", Gnidrologs debut release, ranks as one of the most offbeat and venturesome recordings ever to emerge out of the early 70s progressive-rock scene. Eccentric, dramatic, stark, quirky. These are the hallmarks that combine to make "Harrys Toenail" such compelling listening. Often compared with Gentle Giant and Van Der Graaf Generator, in fact Gnidrolog sound only like themselves!
From drummer Nigel Pegrums archives we have added two massively rare bonus tracks recorded at IBC Studios and taken from the only known surviving copy of an ultra rare acetate cut way back in 1969, including the extraordinary Smokescreen, which represents the earliest recording made by this innovative band. To augment those, two further rare discoveries have also been added. These bonus tracks are exclusive to this Audio Archives release. Extensive sleeve notes written by close friend of the group plus many pictures and memorabilia items.
