In the wake of the release of Jethro Tull's 13th studio album, A, the new line-up hit the road in October '80, beginning the 'A' Tour in Maryland, US. Tull stayed in the States until the 12th of November, concluding the US leg with two nights at the famous LA Sports Arena. However, often voted by fans as the finest show the band performed on this exceptional jaunt, the concert they played at the Checkerdome, in St Louis, MO, on October 26th, was a quite extraordinary gig, and one recorded for live FM radio broadcast at the time.

Hoping to further expand the group's dynamic sound, Brown and Stahl solicited song contributions from Mike Riley and Country Mark Engel for the second album. While the core of Brown, Stahl, Riley, Engel and Lalli remained intact for the second session, the group's diverse approach benefitted from the addition of drummer Adam Maples (Earthlings?) and percussionist/drummer Pete Davidson. Additionally, the group was joined at famed Joshua Tree studio Rancho de la Luna by pianist Tim Jones and Bill Barrett on trumpet. Released in 2003, 'Dos' was immediately embraced as a "...compelling fusion of Latin stylings and psychedelic-tinged blues that is a real alternative these days" (cosmiclava.com). Bolstered by similar acknowledgements and reviews of their second album, Orquesta Del Desierto committed to a series of performances throughout southern California and a European tour in 2004. Joined by drummer Bryan Brown, these shows have become legendary among the fans who were able to attend the band's only active period of live performances.

Remixed and remastered reissue of the legendary Orquesta Del Desierto sophomore album. Unable to tour as a group due to commitments to other projects but fueled by the success of the debut release, Brown immediately turned to booking another recording session for the band. Hoping to further expand the group's dynamic sound, Brown and Stahl solicited song contributions from Mike Riley and Country Mark Engel for the second album. While the core of Brown, Stahl, Riley, Engel and Lalli remained intact for the second session, the group's diverse approach benefitted from the addition of drummer Adam Maples (Earthlings?) and percussionist/drummer Pete Davidson. Additionally, the group was joined at famed Joshua Tree studio Rancho de la Luna by pianist Tim Jones and Bill Barrett on trumpet. Released in 2003, 'Dos' was immediately embraced as a "...compelling fusion of Latin stylings and psychedelic-tinged blues that is a real alternative these days" (cosmiclava.com). Bolstered by similar acknowledgements and reviews of their second album, Orquesta Del Desierto committed to a series of performances throughout southern California and a European tour in 2004. Joined by drummer Bryan Brown, these shows have become legendary among the fans who were able to attend the band's only active period of live performances.

'THE DEMOS 1986-1987' - Either intentionally or unwittingly this is a band experimenting with extremes. Formed in 1985 when Thatcherism swooped over England and scalped the North East, Hellbastard admit to being "too metal for punk, too punk for metal," instead coining the term "crust" as a way to feel at peace within themselves whilst simultaneously starting a sonic war that shocked the nerves into spools of frayed tape. With Malcolm "Scruff" Lewty on guitar and vocals, Ian "Scotty" Scott on bass and vocals and Phil Laidlow on drums, it was all captured with their classic 'Rippercrust' demo debut release in '86. But really, it's all encapsulated right here with this reissue also containing the follow-up demo-lition from '87 - 'Hate Militia.' Both are perfect ways to establish the nightmarish worlds, of death camps and dark sides, that wildly writhe within his group's menacing worldview.

(Poison Idea), Happy Tom (Turbonegro), and many more! The album was recorded over the past two years during various sessions in both Europe and the US. The biggest chunk was recorded in Tony's home town Amsterdam by producer Steven van der Werff. It contains 12 brand new songs that represent the natural evolution of Tony's rock'n'roll voyage, which covers five decades. The album's booklet is a biography of Tony Slug, written by the renowned Dutch journalist and writer Philippus Zandstra.

The album showcased how heavy sounds could be enriched by diverse musical influences. Consequently, 'Always...' laid the foundation for subgenres like gothic metal, often referred to as female-fronted metal or what is now recognized as progressive metal - a term commonly used today. The Gathering were true pioneers, opening doors not only for themselves but also for other Dutch bands such as Within Temptation, After Forever, Epica, Kingfisher Sky, Nemesea, and Delain. In retrospect, their influence extended globally, inspiring acts like the predominantly Norwegian Nightwish, the American Evanescence, and the Italian Lacuna Coil. Above all, The Gathering's debut album is a unique masterpiece, characterized by well-constructed songs and clever arrangements. Upon its release, the album received rave reviews, leading to global commercial success. 'Always...' firmly established The Gathering as the leading band in the flourishing Dutch metal scene of the early '90s. Following the album's release, the band embarked on a remarkable journey, touring alongside Paradise Lost, performing for a massive crowd of 8,000 while opening for Faith No More, and receiving invitations to perform in Israel. All these achievements were realized by a group of mostly teenagers who still lived with their parents and were expected to attend school every day. Above all, The Gathering's debut album is a unique masterpiece, characterized by well-constructed songs and clever arrangements. Upon its release, the album received rave reviews, leading to global commercial success. 'Always...' firmly established The Gathering as the leading band in the flourishing Dutch metal scene of the early '90s. Following the album's release, the band embarked on a remarkable journey, touring alongside Paradise Lost, performing for a massive crowd of 8,000 while opening for Faith No More, and receiving invitations to perform in Israel. All these achievements were realized by a group of mostly teenagers who still lived with their parents and were expected to attend school every day.

Released on June 9th 1992, 'Always...' by The Gathering is one of the rare albums in metal that turned out to be a game-changer. On the debut album, the young Dutch band blended doom and death metal with prominent keyboard parts. It featured female vocals in an era when the metal scene was still a male-dominated environment. The album showcased how heavy sounds could be enriched by diverse musical influences. Consequently, 'Always...' laid the foundation for subgenres like gothic metal, often referred to as female-fronted metal or what is now recognized as progressive metal - a term commonly used today. The Gathering were true pioneers, opening doors not only for themselves but also for other Dutch bands such as Within Temptation, After Forever, Epica, Kingfisher Sky, Nemesea, and Delain. In retrospect, their influence extended globally, inspiring acts like the predominantly Norwegian Nightwish, the American Evanescence, and the Italian Lacuna Coil. Above all, The Gathering's debut album is a unique masterpiece, characterized by well-constructed songs and clever arrangements. Upon its release, the album received rave reviews, leading to global commercial success. 'Always...' firmly established The Gathering as the leading band in the flourishing Dutch metal scene of the early '90s. Following the album's release, the band embarked on a remarkable journey, touring alongside Paradise Lost, performing for a massive crowd of 8,000 while opening for Faith No More, and receiving invitations to perform in Israel. All these achievements were realized by a group of mostly teenagers who still lived with their parents and were expected to attend school every day.

In Bordeaux, Laul and Fred, the unshakeable rhythm section of Sleeppers, a legendary Bordeaux rock combo, curious about all kinds of music, and frustrated by the band's break-up in 2019, wanted to get away from the noise power of their latest opus and try something new. At Fred's instigation, David Passicos, guitarist with Es Lo Que Hay and other figures on the Bordeaux scene, lent his rough guitar to the bass/drums pair to work on the album. Later joined by Antoine Leroux, the second guitarist on the Landaise stoner garage scene (The Twin Stoners, Pussy Miel), the project gradually took shape, finding its way through trial and error.

Reissue of Robert Cotter's ultra rare 1976 album, 'Missing You' in partnership with Robert Cotter himself. Originally released on the notorious Tiger Lily imprint, the album was never properly released at the time and most of the copies were supposedly destroyed before they could hit record store shelves. The few copies that survived now command unreasonable prices. The album, recorded in New York between 1975 and 76, is also the only known recording by The Big Apple Band, which Robert Cotter was fronting at the time alongside fellow musicians Nile Rodgers, Bernard Edwards, Tony Thompson and Robert Sabino.

Machine's self-titled album is shrouded in mystery. Released on Sylvia Robinson's All Platinum label in 1972, It vanished without trace and has since become one of the rarest funk albums on the international scene. The album is mostly known to a small circle of hardcore collectors and only a few copies seem to have survived, fetching prices in excess of $5000 whenever one turns up on the auction market. Consisting of three young session musicians working for Sylvia Robinson's All Platinum Records and their hit makers, The Whatnauts, the group display a superb mix of socially-conscious hard-hitting funk and earthy soul, the album is reissued here in its original artwork and remastered by Colorsound Studio in Paris. It includes a 2-page insert with new liner notes by Charles Waring.

The album released on tiny French label Mosquito was conceived as the soundtrack for French choreographer Regine Chopinot's play 'VIA' with costumes by fashion rising star Jean-Paul Gaultier. It was recorded at a buoyant time in Paris when Matta - who had just spent a few years in New York following the death of his brother Gordon Matta-Clark - immersed himself in Paris' underground scene.
