For that project, only this work was fully completed, a really valid record despite sounding quite different from the classic progressive rock we would expect from Di Giacomo and Banco: 'Non Mettere Le Dita Nel Naso' is an album that fits perfectly the '80s context in which it was composed, suspended among songwriting, pop-rock and jazz-funk sounds, characterized by a crisp and clear production and, obviously, by Francesco's unmistakable
vocal timbre. A record that's still valid today, that will appeal not only to any Banco completists, but simply to any

Finally (after 50 years!) the LP reissue of one of the most loved albums by Italian progressive rock connoisseurs in a limited edition with gatefold cover like the 1972 original released for Kansas (the same label that produced Capricorn College 'Orfeo 2000' and EA Poe 'Generazioni'). The Flashmen, a quartet from Cremona formed in 1967, have a wide and interesting discography but 'Pensando' is at an absolutely superior level as regards creativity and maturity. A remarkable record worthy of the best groups of their contemporaries and aligned with that 'thirst for new' that pervaded the period in which it was made. With the superb organ of Silver Scivoli in the foreground, the distorted guitar of Luciano Spotti and the powerful drumming of Roberto Caroli which in the record demonstrates all its caliber the Flashmen (whose name derives from the Italian film 'Flashman' of 1966) give their best blending rock prog, hard blues, psych and gothic. A limpid and vigorous execution, an over the top recording, scratchy and modern lyrics as well as solid and original in its song structure enclosed between an 'Ingresso (Entrance)' and a 'Sortita (Sortie)' just like in the best concept albums make 'Pensando' an essential album in the genre.

"Those who've experienced Josiah's groove-heavy swagger know that it's the guitar of Mat Bethancourt in the starring role, but this trio relies almost as much on the backing rhythms on 'Procession.' Blink and you'll miss the first two tracks, 'Procession' and 'Broken Doll," both of which are under two and a half minutes, but for the other three cuts of studio material ('Thirteen Scene,' highlight 'Dying Day' and the more garage rock 'Dead Forever'), it's just as much Beacom and Beasley's show as it is Bethancourt's. That would be the end if not for the five live tracks from Josiah's Swedish run in 2007. Four out of the five - 'Looking At The Mountain,' 'Time To Kill,' 'Silas Brainchild' and closer 'I Can't Seem To Find It' - come from the band's final recorded full-length, 'No Time,' and only 'Malpaso,' reaches back further, having first appeared on the 2001 10" 'Out Of The First Rays.' Not that we needed it by this time, but these live versions are basically just further confirmation of what underground rock lost with Josiah. The album 'Ut,' with a heavier sound, closer to hard rock caused the split of the New Trolls with the two leaders Di Palo and De Scalzi going in two different ways. A legal struggle followed, for the use of the famous name, and while Di Palo with the other three chose the Ibis way, in a hard rock direction, Vittorio De Scalzi formed a new band, called N.T. to avoid contractual problems, and with a more polished sound. To help their fans to recognize this band as the real New Trolls, early copies of the album had a sticker on the sleeve covering the N.T. name with the full New Trolls brand. N.T. released their first album 'Atomic System' in 1973, a nice album with a large use of horn instruments, De Scalzi himself playing flute and keyboards along with guitar. Previously completely unknown second, unreleased LP by pastoral English songsmith. Recorded in 1973 at the University of Surrey Music Department where Robert was a Guitar Degree Student. A kaleidoscope of beautifully sung, intense, impressionistic, self-composed songs. Some simply backed by his stunning guitar work, others with full chamber folk-rock backing. Heavily symbolic lyrics and deceptively sweet music, much of the imagery seems to anticipate his tragic early death, in his sleep, aged 19, just weeks before he graduated. Obvious comparisons can be made to Nick Drake and even Tim Buckley, but perhaps more sharply to early Al Stewart and with a strong resonance of Village Thing artists, especially Dave Evans' two classic LPs. Timeless, sharp, wistful and eccentric. A miracle this has survived. Fully laminated sleeve, NO BARCODE, features inner with full lyrics and insert with memories from his brother, designed by the immortal Bobby Blisters. Mastered by Reynolds Mastering, the kings of reconstruction and pressed on the old EMI presses by Vinyl Factory for maximum quality. As always pressing run limited to 227.

The Stockholm trio's eponymous 2018 full-length is just about as good as it gets for all the groove it's giving. As the record spins, its hypnotic gaze takes us back through the maze of time, surrounding us in the electrically charged haze of the feel good era. It sounds for all the world like this could be a contemporary of Ozzy and the boys, though it never condescends to full-on Sabbath worship. No, Hazemaze has found their own way, niching somewhere between the early styles of doom that manifested on both sides of the Atlantic, though I hasten to add "slow, blues-infused hard rock" might be a better descriptor than straight-up "heavy metal." That is, unless this exciting release had come out in the seventies. Back then, it would have been considered the epitome of heavy metal, just as Zeppelin and Priest were in teenage years. Capturing this authentic a sound and making it so alive, so vibrant, so now... well, that is no small feat.

Somehow as if heaven send a rare treat, we are able to experience the exceptional and ferocious talent of the late Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor one more time! Yes, the very same Philthy Animal Taylor that provided the pioneering backbeats to all the albums as a member of the classic lineup of the iconic rock group Motörhead. Coupled with the solid hook-led songwriting and guitar graft from Mr. James A. Childs who also fronts the desert rock band Avon, and the youthful thrashing energetic bass guitarist Owen Street of the Welsh Sludge duo Vails makes for a killer combination! The tracks were laid for the album at Unit A Studios in Palm Springs, California in February 2007.
'Philthy Lies' was produced and engineered on 2 inch tape by James A. Childs with Unit A's owner Robbie Waldman assisting the session. Recently, James has carefully carved the record's sound to maximum justice from the original tapes from mix to master, and it is some of his best work to date. 'Philthy Lies' is a testament to Philthy Animal Taylor's professionalism and is proof that he was still every bit the rock and roll giant, even 15 years after his departure from Motörhead!

Originally released in 1977, 'Psyco Analysis' remains today one of the most obscure and mysterious titles inside the vast catalogue of Edizioni Leonardi, from the points of view both of its musical content and of its realization.
Musically, in fact, we are facing a collection of short dark-tinged and gloomy compositions for piano and synthesizers, characterized by a slow and unrelenting pace, a perfect soundtrack for a thriller/noir or a '50s/'60s sci-fi horror movie, with the exception of the closing piece 'Seagull,' a more bright and relaxed song that almost seems to 'liberate' the listener from the shady sounds of the previous tracks, accompanying him on the shore of a tropical beach. 'Psyco Analysis' has become with time a highly sought-after title among collectors and library music enthusiasts. Basically impossible to find in its original edition, it is finally reprinted on vinyl for the first time: a Redi Edizioni exclusive, distributed by BTF, on the occasion of the Record Store Day 2023..

...AL CAPO DELLA SQUADRA MOBILE O.S.T.' - 'Rivelazioni Di Un Maniaco Sessuale Al capo Della Squadra Mobile' (best known internationally as 'So Sweet, So Dead') is a 1972 giallo film by Roberto Bianchi Montero, director of various other movies mainly belonging to the western and erotic genres; the latter is here mixed with thriller and noir, for a very good final result. The soundtrack is here entrusted to the well-known pianist, arranger and composer Giorgio Gaslini (1929-2014);
among the most important Italian jazz musicians of all time, he's been quite prolific during his whole career, also in the vast field of soundtracks. In this case, he creates a memorable theme with a handful of notes and enriches it with typical '70s orchestral pop arrangements, adding an elegant touch with easy-listening jazz and lounge atmospheres. Overall, 'Rivelazioni...' is a multi-genre music work in which mellow and romantic sounds coexist with more obscure and abstract ones, made with only string instruments and percussion.
Originally released in 1972, this soundtrack is now reissued on LP for the first time in over 50 years, in a yellow-coloured edition with audio remastered by Claudio Fuiano and five bonus tracks here released on vinyl for the first time ever!
