This is one of the real rare 60s albums, marked with four stars in Pokoras 1001 Rare Record Cover Book and gets mentioned in Ugly Things '20 Little-Known Albums That Need To Be Reissued Section'. Recorded in 1965 on the peak of the British Invasion, this LP is a true example of US Teensound Excellent Mersey Type group. These Sharp Kids looked to Merseybeat rather than Mick Jagger for inspiration Excellent lead vocals, plaintive three-part harmonies and stripped down, slightly reverbed instrumentation Amazing in its Beatle-like classiness and talent. Mid-Sixties garage beat album. Very UK Beat influenced with a big flavour of Everly Brothers. Nice clean harmonies and guitar picking. Beautiful masterpiece by these lads from Freeport, Illinois USA, originaly released in April 1965. 180 grams virgin vinyl. Beautiful mix of covers and originals. First repress ever. Housed in nice gatefold picture sleeve.
