This band from Glasgow is not afraid to approach hc punk from outside the box. Anxiety's first release contains nine tracks of discordant hc with layers and layers of distortion and vocal effects in barely 20 minutes. Comprising musicians who have spent time with a.o. HERBERT POWELL, PENNYCRESS, THE LOWEST FORM and APOSTILLE, the band brings to mind a more aggressive BUTTHOLE SURFERS mixed with a less pompous SONIC YOUTH, and adds bits of contemporary Barcelona and NY hc.
